Clinical Therapist
Renee (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with dual specializations in Psychiatric and Developmental Disabilities from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Renee enjoys working with clients of all ages and is passionate about providing therapy for anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. Drawing from prior experience as a substitute teacher, camp counselor, and intern in interdisciplinary settings, Renee enjoys helping clients explore their values, inner strengths, and resources across life settings to make meaningful and lasting therapeutic progress. She draws from modalities such as ERP, ACT, DBT, and CBT to inform her work.
Renee views therapy as a tool of empowerment and strives to provide care that is person-centered, holistic, and compassionate. She is LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally sensitive, and dedicated to continuing to learn and improve her work through research and professional development.
Renee is originally from Massachusetts and is currently based in Chapel Hill. Outside of work, Renee enjoys singing, crocheting, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
