TABOO OBSESSIONS TREATMENT GROUP

FOR ADULTS WITH OCD

***REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN ***

WHEN: Tuesdays, 5-6pm, beginning Fall 2026. The group runs on a rolling admission. We will fill spaces in the group (up to 8) and then will admit new group members off a waiting list when spaces become available.

WHERE: This group is held virtually, using a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You’ll receive a link and additional instructions upon registration. Open to residents of North Carolina.

COST: $50/session. There is no minimum or maximum commitment, though participants are asked to attend group consistently on a weekly basis while they are enrolled. You may end participation in the group at any time by notifying the group leaders.

DETAILS: This treatment group is intended for adults (18+) with OCD. Unlike our more general ERP Treatment Group, this group is intended specifically for individuals with OCD who have taboo obsessional themes. OCD loves to conjure up distressing content — sex, violence, blasphemy, etc. — and it can be important for recovery to find spaces where you can feel understood and can approach treatment in a setting that decreases shame and stigma. The group can be great as a standalone treatment option or as an adjunct to individual or intensive treatment. The structure will combine psychoeducation, treatment planning, and practical skill-building to help participants develop the skills and community to thrive with OCD.

The group will be led by Jeremy Bryant, LCMHC and Kristen Beatty, LCSW. Enrollment is first come first served and will be capped at eight participants. Any individuals enrolling from outside of the BCAOTC practice may be asked to participate in a brief, complimentary phone screening to determine fit.

CONTACT: If you have any questions about the group or would like to sign up, please contact Jeremy Bryant at jeremy@bullcityanxiety.com.
